or those prone to food allergies.







AKIND’S JOURNEY TO MINDFUL HEALTHY LIVING

With Akind’s vision to reinvent rice, a number of products, both food and non-food options
were explored.
It led the founders to discover that the humble rice, present in all Filipino households, is widely used as a main ingredient for gluten-free food, usually as
replacement to wheat-based flours.

Around that same period, the daughter of one of the co-founders was found to be allergic to gluten, as well as other allergy inducing foods such as dairy, wheat, and refined sugar. This led to the company’s a-ha moment, it’s reason for being – to be able to give people, especially those closest to our hearts (family),
alternatives to be able to enjoy products such as bread, cookies, and other foods without having to feel sick afterwards.

Akind wants to promote the #akindlife to all, which is a lifestyle that not only encompasses healthy eating, but also a concept that encourages mindful living that wants us
to be kind to ourselves and to the people around us.
